Lamprocapnos / Dicentra spectabilis ‘Alba’ (White Bleeding Heart) 10.5cm Pot

Lamprocapnos spectabilis ‘Alba’, formerly known as Dicentra spectabilis, is a graceful perennial commonly known as Bleeding Heart. Native to China, it produces elegant arching stems adorned with pure white, heart-shaped flowers that dangle delicately in late spring to early summer.

This variety thrives in light shade but will also perform well in a sunny border provided the soil remains consistently moist. It works beautifully when planted in clumps among shrubs or in mixed perennial borders, where its elegant form can be fully appreciated.

Clumps remain compact for many years and prefer not to be disturbed due to their brittle roots. Instead of dividing, propagation is best done through root cuttings in spring.
