3.20 “Price excl. VAT: 3.20

Matricaria chamomilla is a larger species of camomile, growing as an annual herb, native to Europe. The plants (growing to around 2 ft in height) produce masses of prominent flowers during spring to summer.

Chamomile prefer to grow in full sun. Prepare some ground well and sprinkle the seeds in from March to June. Thin if necessary to 15 cm apart. Keep watered initially if the weather is very dry.It makes a fantastic pollinator-friendly wildflower meadow plant — but also makes a lovely addition to any flower bed or border, particularly being well suited for cottage-style and informal gardens. Fully frost hardy to -25°C.

Use the flowers fresh to make tea. To dry them spread them out on paper or mesh in a dry airy place. When dry store them in an air tight containers.
