Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 20-25 degree C (68-77 degree F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Transplant them, 5 cm (2-inch) apart, to further trays, when large enough to handle. Always hold by a leaf, never by the stem. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out into well-drained soil, May-June, 23 cm (9-inch) apart, when frosts are over. Flowers: June to October.
Hints and Tips: To encourage a bushy habit and more flowers, pinch out the central growing tips when plants are 1 cm (4-inch) high.
