Molinia caerulea ‘Heidebraut’ (Purple Moor Grass) 2 Litre Pot

Molinia caerulea, or purple moor grass, is a terrific ornamental grass, forming large clumps of erect leaves from which tall spikes of purple flowers emerge in summer. With its gentle, see-through habit, it’s ideal for growing at the front of a border, filtering views of the plants behind. In autumn, the foliage turns electric yellow.

Molinia caerulea ‘Heidebraut’ is a compact cultivar with upright stems that hold their shape well, even when weighed down by rain. New plants can take a little while to become established, but once settled, they quickly bulk up. For best results, grow it in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
