Lonicera kamtschatica (Honeyberry) 2L Pot

Grown for its delicious, sweet berries, Lonicera kamtschatica is a medium-sized, bushy, deciduous shrub. The small leaves are bluish-green and lightly aromatic.

Small white flowers appear in pairs in very early spring, followed in July and August by elongated blue berries covered in a natural waxy bloom when fully ripe. The flesh is deep wine-red, with a sweet-tangy flavour. The berries are rich in vitamins C and A and antioxidants and freeze particularly well.

Originating from Siberia, this is an extremely cold hardy and easy to grow shrub. It is a valuable early nectar source for pollinators, although growing more than one plant can improve pollination and fruit set.
