Helleborus ‘Silver Lace’ 14cm Pot

Helleborus argutifolius ‘Silver Lace’ is a hardy, evergreen perennial that brings brightness to shaded borders or woodland gardens during winter and early spring. It also performs beautifully in containers, patio planters and even hanging baskets. In late winter, stunning apple-green, cup-shaped flowers rise above the tooth-edged, silver-frosted foliage, providing a striking contrast and seasonal interest.

This hellebore is also a valuable early source of nectar for newly emerging insects. Planted alongside other spring bulbs in cottage gardens or woodland settings, it creates a delightful and naturalistic display.

Grow in neutral to alkaline soil in dappled shade. Helleborus prefers moist, humus-rich, fertile soil that stays consistently damp but not waterlogged. On heavy clay or free-draining gravel soils, enrich the planting area with plenty of well-rotted leaf mould or other organic matter prior to planting.
