Ficus pumila ‘Sunny’ (Creeping Fig) Variegated 12cm Pot

7.99 “Price excl. VAT: 7.04

Ficus pumila, also known as Climbing Fig or Creeping Fig, is a charming, easy to care for plant with attractive foliage. Its versatile growth habit allows it to either creep along surfaces or trail gracefully from hanging baskets, making it ideal for creating a lush, cascading effect in the home. It is also well suited to terrariums and moss bowls, where it thrives in humid conditions and adds texture and vibrant greenery to enclosed displays.

Grow Ficus pumila in a warm, humid room such as a bathroom, in bright indirect light, although light shade is tolerated. Water regularly, ensuring the compost does not dry out. To increase humidity, stand the pot on a tray of gravel filled with water, making sure the water level sits just below the top of the gravel so the roots do not sit in water and become waterlogged. Feed with a liquid fertiliser every two to three weeks during spring and summer.

Reduce watering and stop feeding in autumn and winter, keeping the compost only just moist through winter. Resume regular care in spring.

This variety has variegated green and white foliage.
