Davallia / Humata tyermannii (Rabbit’s Foot Fern) 18cm Hanging Pot

23.99 “Price excl. VAT: 21.14

Humata tyermannii, often called the Rabbit’s Foot Fern, is a wonderfully quirky plant with delicate, feathery fronds and soft, fuzzy white rhizomes that spill over the edge of the pot like little rabbit’s feet.

Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, this epiphytic fern naturally grows on trees rather than in the ground. It thrives in bright, indirect light, enjoys lightly moist soil and appreciates higher humidity, although it adapts well to most homes. Avoid letting it dry out completely or sit in soggy soil, and keep it above 10C.

Those distinctive “feet” are the rhizomes, where new fronds and roots emerge, and they can be divided to propagate new plants.
