Coleus blumei (Painted Nettle) Mix in 12cm-14cm Pot

Coleus (also known as painted nettle and formerly sold as solenostemon or plectranthus) are grown for their striking, velvety foliage in vibrant shades of red, burgundy, yellow, green, pink, brown and bronze.

They add bold colour to summer bedding, borders, pots and containers and work especially well in exotic or jungle-style planting schemes. Coleus can also be grown indoors as houseplants or in conservatories.

Grow coleus in a sunny or partially shaded spot with moist, well-drained soil to encourage the best leaf colour. As tender perennials, they are usually grown as annuals in Ireland. Protect them from frost by bringing plants indoors in autumn or taking summer cuttings to grow new plants the following year.
