Chlorophytum comosum ‘Variegatum’ (Variegated Spider Plant) in 17cm Hang Pot

Spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) are incredibly easy to grow, so are good for the novice as well as the more experienced houseplant enthusiast.

Place it in a bright spot with indirect light, although it will also tolerate some shade. Water regularly during the growing season (spring and summer), allowing the top of the soil to dry slightly between waterings and reduce watering in winter. Avoid waterlogging the soil. It does not require high humidity, though occasional misting is fine. Keep temperatures above 10C, especially in winter. Repot in spring when the plant becomes root-bound.
