Cattleya Orchid Mix 12cm Pot

Cattleya orchids are tropical plants that produce exotic, glamorous flowers, often with beautifully frilled petals or lips. They have long been prized as the traditional corsage orchid for special occasions.

Most cattleyas are epiphytic, growing naturally on the branches of trees, while some species grow on rocks. In their native rainforests, they thrive in warm, humid conditions with excellent air circulation, drawing moisture from rain and humid air and nutrients from organic matter that collects around their roots. These conditions can be successfully recreated when growing cattleyas as houseplants.

Flower stems typically produce between two and eight blooms, depending on the variety, and are available in a stunning range of colours. Their spectacular flowers make them well worth the effort.
