Camellia sasanqua ‘Kanjiro’ 1.5L Pot

Arriving fashionably late in the gardening year, Camellia Kanjiro is a sight to behold in autumn and winter. Sparkling through some of our bleakest months, filling your garden with lustrous evergreen frame and large, glamorous blooms with emerge from plump buds. Camellia Kanjiro produces masses of single and semi-double blooms in bright, rich shades of cerise-pink. Boasting a delicate fragrance as they flower from October to January against a glossy foil of dark green foliage. A florist’s dream, both the foliage and the flowers are excellent cut for flower arrangements to be brought in to be admired within your home. Like most Camellia’s, Kanjiro prefers to be grown in reliably moist, acid soil in light shade, a slightly sheltered spot would help to protect the buds from damage by cold winds. Camellia Kanjiro reaches a mature height of 3m, spreading to 1.5m and is fully hardy in most of Ireland to -10 C.
