Andromeda polifolia ‘Compacta’

23.99 “Price excl. VAT: 21.14

Leathery, rosemary-like leaves form along the length of the stems, slowly forming a low evergreen dome, which in late spring and early summer, is nearly smothered with the appearance of the small, bell-shaped blooms. A pretty addition to the front of a reliably moist border or rockery, it could also be grown in a pot filled with ericaceous compost – provided it is kept well watered.

Add composted pine needles or well-rotted leaf mould when planting. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of composted pine needles or well-rotted leaf mould each year around the base of the plant in early spring.

Supplied in a 23cm pot
