Adiantum caudatum is native to South East Asia and is commonly called the Walking Maidenhair Fern as it produces young plantlets on the end of mature fronds that root into the ground and grow to new plants. New growth has beautiful pink – red colouring and the long, arching fronds look spectacular in a hanging basket or plant stand.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Bright to light shaded spots with high humidity are welcome. Direct sunlight especially hot summer afternoon sun will cause leaf burn
  • Watering Needs: Keep the soil evenly moist but not wet. Allow the top soil to dry before adding water
  • Humidity:Thrives in high humidity conditions
  • Temperature: 15 – 24ºC
  • Fertiliser: Feed from April – September with a diluted fertiliser once a month to encourage healthy growth.
  • Non Toxic to pets
