Asplenium 'Amy' is a member of the Aspleniaceae. This family counts about 700 sorts of ferns. The botanic name Asplenium comes from the Greek: asplenon = spleen herb). This fern was used in the Middle Ages as a medicine against spleen diseases. The Asplenium Amy is a new plant on the market and features because of the funny ends of the leaves.
Care: Asplenium 'Amy' likes a moderately sunny place, but it doesn't like direct sunlight. This fern does not like strong temperature changes. The ideal temperature for the Asplenium 'Amy' is between 18 and 24C. When it is too cold for this fern, the leaf ends will turn brown. We recommend to fertilise once a month.
