Bright spring colour display
Brilliant, jewel bright colours. Perfect for a springtime garden and excellent for beds, border, pots and window boxes.
Plant Class: Hardy Perennial (HP).
Habit: Bushy, Dwarf.
Sow thinly, indoors, January-June, on the surface of a small tray of pre-watered compost. Place in a cold frame, unheated greenhouse, or on a cool windowsill. Keep moist and do not let the surface of the compost dry out. A temperature of 10-15°C (50-60°F) is ideal. Higher temperatures may inhibit germination. Seedlings usually appear in 21-42 days. Pot on individually, when large enough to handle, to 7.5cm (3") pots. Always hold by a leaf, never by the stem. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions, before planting out into well-drained soil, June-October, 20cm (8") apart. Flowers: March to May.
Retain one or two plants in their pots. Once in bud, bring them into the house to flower.
